Charging Station

I got tired of always looking for my phone charger, of having to unplug other things to get to an outlet, and of having a multitude of cords all over the counter. A charging station was my solution. I created a box that holds a six outlet power strip and mounted it to a small base. I then built a box around it.

The result is a small box of wood that has a lid with small holes in the bottom to allow only the plug of your charger to come through and plug into your device. All the cords are hidden inside the box. The counter free of wire clutter and I always know where my charger is. I just drop off my keys out drawer and plug in my phone when I come home now.

This product is handmade out of solid birch. Birch is a great wood and will accept a multitude of stains. The one pictured was stained with a mahogany stain, you can choose another stain or, if you prefer a clear coat finish. I added the felt to prevent the devices from sliding around, but they are not necessary. More colors of felt are available upon request. Also, felt can cover the entire lid to the box or be cut into ovals, circles, square, rectangles, or whatever shape you want.

The one pictured here has three charging spots on it. I can customize the design to hold more or less devices. I can also make each section narrower or wider depending upon your needs. This can be used to charge phones, bluetooth, cameras, ipods, whatever you need to charge.

Kid's Redwood Picnic Table

Here is a handmade redwood picnic table capable of seating four children. It is made of solid redwood that was handpicked by my father and I. We built it, it has never been used and there fore is in perfect condition.

We use the best materials which include deck screws which are hot dipped and coated to prevent rust. The screws are also star bit screws so they are less likely to strip in case you ever need to take it apart and refinish the surface. All structure points are held together by 5/16 bolts ensuring a very long life and stability.

All the wood is painted with Behr water sealer. It is made for decks and very durable. It is made to last four to six years.
